The Opole Philharmonics association, conducted by Bartosz Żurawski, played along with Cyprian Sekrecki and Łukasz Byrdy – young and talented pianists and recipients of the Piotr Kler Foundation scholarship. They performed Ludwig Van Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in C major, op. 14, as well as Frederic Chopin’s Andante Spianato and Grand Polonaise in E-flat major, op 22.
Once again it was proven that Piotr Kler can read people well, as evidenced by his selection of scholarship recipients. As many as three of them – Łukasz Mikołajczyk, Łukasz Byrdy and Tymoteusz Bies – qualified to compete in the 17th edition of the International Frederic Chopin Competition, which took place in October 2015. The Chopin Competition is one of the longest-running and most prestigious music competitions in the world and takes place every 5 years in Warsaw. We would like to congratulate the scholarship recipients and Piotr Kler!
